Discover the hinterland

villages, typical Ligurian gastronomy and its famous olive oil
Program:
Day 1:
The Roya and Nervia
valleys are situated in the Southern Alps in the hinterland of the French
and Italian Riviera
The rail, road and airport networks from the UK to
us are all very
good,
so you have a
big choice of how to get here. Fly to the nearest airports
or take a train to the nearest train stations and
then you either rent a car or make the transfer with us. Having a car in
the valley is generally
recommended.
We can arrange
trains and rent cars for you or book flights.
We can also help
with information and advice about airport parkings or airport hotels.
The nearest city is
Nice, the nearest airport is Nice International Airport. the nearest TGV
station
is Nice and the
local train station is Ventimiglia (40mn from Nice)
By road
Paris-Lyon-Marseille-Nice-Ventimiglia
Accomodation in the farmhouse in rooms from 1 to 6 places, bed
linen provided, toilet bags not provided.
Canyoning Maglia:
difficult
Private microbus (10mn) to
arrive at the entry of the Maglia, one of the most beautiful
canyons in Europe !! Lots of jumps (maxi 12m) toboggans (one of 10m ),
a unique experience in abseiling (maxi 15m) among others under a waterfall in a cave! Duration 4h, 10mn-walk to
get there, back 20mn.

Canyoning is a sports
activity allowing you to discover the fascination of deep waters:
swimming in natural pools, abseiling in waterfalls and diving
in crystal clear lake waters.
Day 2:
Via ferrata Tende:
difficult
Private microbus (20mn) to Tende, a typical
Ligurian village.
15mn-walk to the entry of the via ferrata
The itinerary starts through a
series
of terraces in light upward slopes. The scenery changes as you cross
the "Nepalese bridges" that overlook the valley with a vertical climb over
100m, cable traverse (Tyrolean).... Duration 3hrs and a half, children under 12
are not allowed.
Day
3:
Canyoning Barbaria:
difficult
Private microbus (35mn) to the "Barbaria" called "Tropical
Canyon" ideal
for the month of May. Lots of jumps (maxi 12m) toboggans (one of 10m ), abseiling (maxi
12m). Duration 4h, 40mn-walk to get there, back 10mn.

Jour 4:
Rafting Roya
: less difficult
Transfer to the River Roya.
We generally use 2-place-rafts called canoe
raft or hot dog. But you can try the "airboat" which is a very
funny and sporty individual raft. Your mini raft allows you to go
down on one of the river: the Roya.
The mini raft is available to everybody,
including children from 10 years old, accompanied by their parents.
You must be a good swimmer however.
The descent lasts approximately 2 hours
for
6 km.
Difficulty:
This sports activity is
available to people in good physical shape with strong
sensations guaranteed. The knowledge of the rope technique is not
necessary. Your guide, who will always be at your disposal, will teach you in
a
short time. You must be a good swimmer however.
Equipment:
The personal equipment should
include: one pair of tennis shoes for walking in the water and one
swimsuit. The rest of the equipment will be supplied according to the
personal information you will give: your size and your weight.
