The  Roya valley: The paradise of canyoning !!

Programme:

Day 1: Satuday  30 May.

The Roya and Nervia valleys are situated in the Southern Alps in the hinterland of the French

and Italian Riviera. The rail, road and airport networks from the UK to us are all very good,   

so  you have a big choice of how to get here. Fly to the nearest airports or take a train to the nearest train stations and then you either rent a car or make the transfer with us. Having a car in the valley is generally recommended.

We can arrange trains and rent cars for you or book flights.

We can also help with information and advice about airport parkings or airport hotels.

The nearest city is Nice, the nearest airport is Nice International Airport. the nearest TGV station

is Nice and the local train station is Ventimiglia (40mn from Nice)

By road Paris-Lyon-Marseille-Nice-Ventimiglia

Canyoning Audin: easy

Private microbus (10mn) to the entry of the Audin, ideal for families (children minimum age 8 years). Lots of jumps (maxi 8m) toboggans (one of 10m ), no abseiling.

The color of the water (you can drink it!), the size of the natural swimming pool, the temperature of the water (20°C in summer) make for one of the most popular trips of the region. 35mn-walk, back 15mn. Duration 3h

Canyoning is a sports activity allowing you to discover the fascination  of  deep waters: swimming in natural pools, abseiling in waterfalls and diving  in crystal clear lake waters.

Day 2:

Rafting Roya : less difficult

Transfer to the River Roya.

We generally use 2-place-rafts called canoe raft or hot dog. But you can try the "airboat" which is a very funny and sporty individual raft. Your mini raft allows you  to  go down on one of the river: the Roya.

The mini raft   is  available  to everybody, including  children from 10 years old,  accompanied  by their parents. You must be a good swimmer however.

The descent lasts approximately 2 hours for 6 km.

OR

Canyoning Bendola: easy

Transfer by minibus to get to the Bendola (15 mn) - a canyon made for families (children over 8 years).  The Bendola is the longest and most difficult canyon in Europe. We offer the last part of the canyon which is very easy, no abseiling.

The canyon is cut into the bedrock stone, forming narrow gorges with numerous small drops, beautifully sculpted walls. 45mn-walk, back 0mn. Duration 3 hours and a half

Difficulty: This sports  activity  is available  to people in good physical shape with strong sensations guaranteed. The knowledge of the rope technique is not necessary. Your guide,  who will always be at your disposal, will teach you in a short time. You must be a good swimmer however.

Equipment: The personal equipment  should include:  one pair of tennis shoes  for walking  in the water  and  one swimsuit. The rest of the equipment will be supplied according to the personal  information you will give: your size and your weight.

Availability:  from April to October

Group:  Alone or with a group (1 guide for every 8 persons)

Price: 165 € per person (in rooms 1 to 6 places

Included: The guide, all activities and equipment, the transfers, 2 picnics,  2 times half board  in the farmhouse, the insurance
